Monday(11/03) : Web Development (HTML + CSS Basics): NohoHacks staff and UCLA mentors introduce HTML and CSS using Replit, walking students through how code builds the websites they see every day..
Tuesday(11/04): Practice Project: Students create a personalized profile page, customizing colors, text, and layout to make it their own.
Wednesday(11/05) : Prompt Engineering: NohoHacks staff explain how writing specific prompts produces better results with AI tools like ChatGPT. Students compare vague vs. detailed prompts, then complete a small project using prompt engineering to solve a real-world problem.
Thursday(11/06): Product Management: Students learn how product managers turn ideas into real apps, breaking down a popular app into user problems and features. Explore how apps are designed by breaking down real examples.
Friday (11/07): Practice product management: : In teams, students brainstorm an original app idea, create a 1-slide pitch in Canva or Google Slides, and present it for feedback from a professional.
Monday(11/10): Artificial Intelligence: Get hands-on with Google’s Teachable Machine and learn how AI recognizes patterns
Tuesday(11/11): Practice AI.
Wednesday(11/12): Game Development: Learn core concepts in game dev, such as character movement and scoring, and how coding brings games to life.
Thursday(11/13): Practice game dev: Students build their own simple games, customize mechanics, and share them with peers to test and play.
Friday(11/14)- Prompt Engineering Practice + Team Formation Day: Practice prompt engineering skills that you learned prior to this meeting, and form teams if you haven’t already!
